Why would the API for this not be: as opposed to If line and inf line are two different graphics, that could be determined under the hood and the proper one constructed?? |

Very simple API for inf lines and dashing:

Can also provide pairs of points:
1D array of x values and a colormap is applied across the infinite lines in-order:
cmap_transform, sets the color based on the sine value at the x-position
matplotlib style line dashing
LLM disclosure: written by babysitting claude through it, read every line before accepting the changes.
