Coding is dead, Long live coding!
Hey, I am Shubh
Professionally at LimeChat, Where I handle problems in infrastrucutre, platform, and performance. Personally, I am currently databasemaxxing, learning Rust, and doing leetcode as a hobby (I can say that because I am looking for a new job right now). I do have hobbies outside of leetcode trust me!
LimeChat is one of the leading providers of AI powers customer support and sales agents for enterprices in India.
Problems/Projects I have worked on here:
- Unified Messaging: I built a Single gateway to send/receive notification across multiple channels(whatsapp/instagram/email...), handles more than 100M messages a day, and entire requests volume upto ~ 1 Billion per day. Contributes multiple millions to the company annual revenue.
- WebRTC Audio bridge: The first company to build a novel audio bridge b/w whatsapp's closed P2P audio stack and Livekit's room based architecture, even Livekit have not done till now. Prototyped this in Python & built a superfast Rust implementation thereafter. Handles close 1000 calls per day. Contributes to thousands of USD to the company annual revenue.
- Infrastructure & Reliability: I solved org-wide problems involving multiple team level initiatives. Reduced postgres cluster CPU usage by 60%, Solved multi-year celery + rabbitmq bottleneck issues, Solved thundering-herd issues on Kafka & RabbitMQ, Completely eliminated outages due to overwhelming queues(Kafka, RabbitMQ, redis) by using stragegies like rate limiter, circuit breakers, and fallbacks.
- Latency: I worked on Agentic studio, a platform to build AI Agents for enterprises. Reduced p95 latency of chat agents by 60% (15s - 6s). I introduced semantic caching on decision making steps & use software engineering fundamentals to reduce the external DB/Cache calls by 95%.
I love building side projects and especially systems engineering projects.
A full-text search engine I built from scratch using Rust & MongoDB. It uses SPIMI with K-way merge for indexing large number of webpages. And, well it supports phrase queries. Give a look at its source code.

This project was part of codecrafters rust challenge. I have used kafka at work and wanted to see what's inside and built this project. It supports Kafka operations like TopicCreation, PartitionCreation, Produce Messages, FetchMessages, DescribeTopicPartition.

A tree-walk interpreter written in Rust to understand language implementation end to end. It includes lexical scanning, parsing, abstract syntax trees, environments, functions, callable values, and runtime evaluation.

I wanted to auto-sync my leetcode submissions to github.

- You don't like getting things done.
- You want to work people who are rigid on technology and say no when asked to solve a problem out of their domain knowledge
- You want to micro-manage me.
- I get things done.
- I don't say I don't know this technology, I learn the tech, figure out the solution and solve the problem.
- I have super high agency.
- I can lift heavy weights.
