I’m a multi-disciplinary technologist and builder with a background in software engineering, risk analysis, and operations. After years in high-pressure culinary leadership roles (Disney, Chick-fil-A), I transitioned into tech to solve complex problems that impact real lives—from national cybersecurity tools to inclusive web applications.
My passion lies in mission-driven work that blends people, process, and code. Whether it’s leading Agile teams, analyzing CVE data for the U.S. Navy, or co-creating apps for underserved communities, I focus on systems that are secure, resilient, and human-centered.
- Gainer Scraper: A python based scraper code to transfer daily stock exchange prices into an SQL database, allowing for more deliberate decision making for daily stock purchases and sales. Uses pandas, playwright, Jupyter Notebook.
- Learning COBOL: Learning the fundamentals of COBOL coding langauge using VMWare for Linux Mint OS hosting, GNUCobol to compile and gedit and geany for code drafting. Next steps will be to use z/OS and JCL to better understand how IBM uses COBOL in mainframe settings.
- CyberGators: A real-time cyber resiliency engine (Bayesian Networks, Fuzzy Logic, FSM, CVE-based scoring)
- ML + Real Estate: Price prediction with XGBoost, Random Forest, and ANN on the Ames Housing dataset
- Service Platforms: Full-stack booking app using the MEVN stack under 4-week sprint cycles
Languages: Python, C, C++, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Dart, SQL
Frameworks & Stacks: React, Vue.js, Node.js, Express, MEVN, Flask
Tools: Docker, Git/GitHub, CircleCI, Jira, Figma, PowerBI, MongoDB
Concepts: CVE Integration, Finite-State Machines, Bayesian Networks, PCA, RFE, Agile/Scrum
- Reverse engineering with Ghidra & Binary Ninja
- GoLang and systems-level development
- Advanced database systems (PostgreSQL, indexing, optimization)
- MATLAB for system modeling and simulation
Before tech, I ran my own catering company, I Am Chef Sam, and managed multi-million dollar food ops at Walt Disney World. I still cook a mean quiche and mentor LGBTQ+ and first-gen students navigating tech careers.
I’m always open to collaboration, questions, and coffee chats—especially if you’re working at the intersection of security, equity, and technology.
