Platform js is a tiny javascript file that equips older browsers with some new HTML features that make it possible to do things like dropdowns, rich text tooltips, modals and more.
- Not a fully polyfill: Doesn't cover styled selects and other more difficult elements.
- Opinionated: Designed around what we think makes sense.
- Base Styles Friendly: Designed to work out-of-the-box with the styles from Base Styles.
- Built to be removed: Doesn't add any new features beyond what most browsers can support - just fills in the gap for older ones.

- But, currently these features are only supported by between 60% to 80% of browsers.
